最近在看過美國影集The Night Shift（夜班醫生/夜班急診室），發現多看英文影集或電影語感真的會變好欸！而且學到很多實用且口語(but informal)的句子或片語，這次先介紹三個，有興趣的話可以在The Night Shift Season3 Ep2後半段大概34:40找到，這三句出現於兩位醫生Jordan和Scott準備下班的對話中，礙於版權就不放影片了～

How did you pull that off? 你怎麼做到的？
這裡出現的情境是Jordan病人的情況有點複雜難處理，Scott問她情況怎麼樣，Jordan回答她已經處理好了，Scott就很驚訝地問：How did you pull that off?
這整句可以替換成：How did you manage to do that? 或是直接說 How did you do that?
to pull sth off = to make sth (difficult or unexpected) happen 讓某事發生，或是成功完成一件很難、預料之外的事
例句：The central bank has pulled off one of the biggest financial rescues of recent years.
中央銀行已經完成了近年來最大型的財政救援。
I don't know how you pulled it off, but we're now $5,000 richer than we were yesterday.
我不知道你是怎麼做到的，但比起昨天，我們現在多了五千元欸！
You'll get there. 你可以的、你做得到！
情境是Jordan在跟Scott討論他最近的心理狀態和想法，他就拍拍她的背、鼓勵她說：You'll get there.
這整句可以替換成：You can do it!
其實這個翻得直接一點，就是你會完成的、你做得到，例如：You'll get there. Just keep going.
這句很適合鼓勵或是安慰別人，經典的quote就是：
It doesn't matter how slow you are, as long as you're determined to get there, you'll get there.
不管你多慢都不重要，只要你決心要做到，你就做得到。
或是電影How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days 絕配冤家中，Jeenie鼓勵Andie：
Keep busting your butt. You'll get there.
繼續努力堅持下去，夢想就會成真。
(That's) how I roll! 我就是這樣啊！
情境是Scott在跟Jordan解釋自己換了個心境生活以後的收穫，Jordan就讚美他：Live and learn. Dr. Clements!（又學到新招了喔，克萊曼醫生！）Scott回：How I roll!（我就是這樣啊！厲害吧～）
這裡的How I roll其實完整句型是That's how I row. = That's my style. / That's how I do things. 這就是我做事的方法、我就是這樣！隱含了開玩笑的「厲害吧！」的意思
例句：How come so many guys are hitting on you?
怎麼這麼多男生在追你啊？
That's how I roll.
厲害吧～
拿來回不知道要怎麼回應的問句也滿好用的，只是有點欠打就是了XD
Why are you wearing those sandals with white socks? It's ugly.
你為什麼穿著涼鞋配白襪啊？很醜欸！
Cause that's how I roll.
我就喜歡這樣啊～
最後推薦一下這部影集，融合醫療、軍營和感情戲，演員顏值都超級高，一集大概會同時處理三個case，劇情很緊湊，喜歡緊張刺激片的人應該會很enjoy～真的好好看啊！
